Frontier Elementary

The main goal of our school garden is to promote environmental awareness leading students to choose higher education and careers in environmental science and agriculture. Frontier Elementary is an approved Environmental and Animal Science CHOICE school. Our mission is to foster environmental and animal science awareness among all elementary-aged children. To achieve this mission we teach science with the approach of inquiry and discovery through investigative hands-on exploration. Students engage in hands-on exploration in our school-yard garden, small animal habitats, and through field trips to discovery destinations. The grant will make it possible for our students to fully engage in the best possible school-yard garden and education we can provide. For our community this grant validates our belief that the environment and agriculture are valued and can coexist with development.
