About the Program:

Goals- Community involvement, Healthy lifestyles and eating habits, Get students outside, Fresh food, Education. Our garden has hosted many students over the past year. It has allowed us to broaden our education beyond the classroom walls. We have witnessed a new joy of nature, foods, and community engagement from the student body, and because of that, we plan to expand our garden area. The garden currently holds six raised beds intermixed with a variety of fruits and vegetables that have been incorporated into many lessons. Our overarching goals for the garden are to encompass community, education and healthy lifestyles that will preserve over the years to build a more thoughtful, sustaining society. We will pursue this by building more raised beds to grow fruits and berries that are open to the public, provide more space for classroom growing projects, more taste-tests, and implement a harvest of the month program.
