Eugene J. Gribbin School

The Gribbin Site Committee is trying to implement the addition of a school greenhouse in our structure so that the students may grow a garden in a controlled environment.

The greenhouse will give the students an opportunity to help them understand the environment and the importance of plant life. This will also enhancing their science curriculum as well as gaining knowledge of horticulture and botany. Students will be able to see a plant life cycle and learn to grow their own food. Each and every student at Gribbin will have the chance to learn through participation the importance of healthy nutritious meals.

In gaining all of this knowledge, we hope the children will be better informed future decision-makers. Who knows, we may have the future Luther Burbank in our midst!

Gribbin is in forward movement to make strides in bringing positive influence to the people of Glen Cove and the surrounding areas.
