About the Program: 

 Southbank International School is the first Independent School in London to create an Edible Schoolyard. The program, founded by Gia de Picciotto, began in November. The students and staff have participated in consultation and have generated awareness by selling organic fruit and are vegetables . They are building their garden onsite in conjunction with Trees For Cities. They will also purchase fruit trees for a chosen state school in the community with the funds they raised through the fruit and vegetable sales.
