Darwin Elementary

The mission of the garden is to create a portrait of the diverse student body inside through the plants grown, signage created and love shown in its care. Our garden would proudly sit in front of the school with thriving vegetables and herbs with hand-painted signs in Spanish, Italian and English.

The garden would also create a welcoming opportunity for the school to interact with the neighborhood. As it is the school is tucked back into a side street and has very little indication of the vibrant community inside. Even a small garden such as this would present a much needed welcoming element.
