Our goal is to create an edible learning garden that will educate our students and parent community on making healthy food choices that will develop into a lifetime of healthy food habits. When children are invested in the process of growing their own food, they are more likely to develop an appreciation for healthy and nutritious food and consequently make healthier food and lifestyle choices.With the support of our teaching staff and volunteer parents, the school garden will be integrated into many aspects of the children's daily learning.By providing hands on experiences in science, language arts, math, art, and social studies, our students will create meaningful connections with the world around them in a significant way allowing them to better retain what they learn.Located in the center of our school, the garden further serves as a message to our community that we are a progressive school that cares deeply about our students as a whole person;nurturing them from the inside out.
