Coral Way K-8 Center

Our proposed garden project is a partnership between the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education (the Center) and Coral Way Bilingual K-8 Center. This represents a partnership between a nonprofit early education center and a public K-8 school. School gardens will be used to connect these neighboring organizations in our community. The existing school garden at the Center will be enhanced through this opportunity to share its gardening program including staff and volunteer expertise and the engagement of students in projects and lessons related to literacy, art, math, science, and nutrition. Coral Way will benefit from a new garden in the currently empty area surrounding the Kindergarten portable.
