A+ Children's Academy Community School

A+ Children's Academy Community School is located on the South Side of Columbus, Ohio in a urban community. The majority of our students do not have access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Approximately 90% of our students are free and reduced lunch status. The A+ Children’s Academy vision is for all students to achieve their full potential academically and socially as a result of a strong emotional and instructional support system. Our mission is to cultivate a passion for learning that addresses students’ social, emotional, academic, and cognitive needs. We feel that this garden program supports our vision for the school. The children will learn how gardens are important for their health and developmental growth. They will also learn how to work as a group in a setting that they have never done so before. It will allow us send healthy food home with our children.
