Branciforte Middle School Life Lab

We are a community of learners who get outside to grow fantastic crops and flowers in the warm climate of the  Banana Belt area of Santa Cruz, California.   Our Middle School garden is in its second year of production.   We involve our 6th grade core classes, our art, cooking and science classes in hands on learning weekly.

The goal of our garden is to promote healthy eating for our school community and support both life science lessons and our foods program. The garden design would include raised garden beds dedicated to our life science classes as well as a living salad bar section that provides the greens for salad at lunch.
