About the Program:

Here at Arcadia High School the students of AP Environmental Science and I have created (with much support from grants, donations, and awards and much patience) a beautiful garden outside our classroom. based on permaculture principles.  Our garden contains a pond with a waterfall that provides nutrient rich goo for fertilizer as well as a place for visiting birds to drink.  We have two varieties of grapes, two apples, two plums, a nectarine and an apricot tree, an ice cream banana, sugar cane, two figs, a jujube, and multiple herbs and understory annual vegetables.  It is a sight to behold and there is something to eat almost all year long!
