About the Program:

At Snyder Elementary we are always striving to teach our students not only academics, but life skills as well. The goal of our garden will be three fold. 1. Encourage our students to eat healthy and to try new fresh foods. 2. Get our students outside to learn a new skill (gardening) that will keep them active and will enable them to continue this hobby throughout their life. 3. Teach students about responsibility when caring for living organisms. The garden will also serve as a means for donating fresh vegetables to our local food pantry which is one of our school's big philanthropy projects each year. Overall we would like for this garden to be a place where students can come together to learn and grow.
