Amerischools Tucson Academy

Our goal is to revitalize an existing garden space on our campus visible not only to staff, students and families but to the surrounding community as well. Our first step will be to install a vertical garden comprised of a Woolly School Garden package. This grant will allow our students to learn how to grow flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables with a Woolly School Garden, from planting the seed to harvesting the fruits of their labor. The garden will give us fresh healthy food for the kids to taste and take home. Importantly, this grant will allow us to beautify the school landscape for our community. The vertical garden will teach that anyone can grow their own food at home, no matter where they live and how much space they have!
