KidsGardening has been a leader in the youth gardening movement since 1982, when it was founded as program of the National Gardening Association. Recently relaunched (in 2016) as an independent organization, our vision is for happier, healthier kids, learning in the garden and connected to nature. This not only improves kids' educational outcomes and eating habits, but also gives rise to environmental stewardship in youth across the country.

We create opportunities for kids to learn and grow through gardening by inspiring, teaching and supporting educators and families with curriculum, practical know-how and garden grants.
