Organic Paradise

A school-to-table organic lab and art garden in it's fourth planting cycle, the Organic Paradise garden is 100 x 50' and located adjacent to a rural k-12 school in western Nevada. Students are learning about organic, biodynamic best practices, and are slowly impacting traditional agro-chemical use in our community with a vibrant alternative. We'll soon install glass mosaic concrete benches, stepping stones, and signage in the garden. We have a k-6 curriculum guide with instructional units that compliment classroom instruction and honor the inquiry necessary for successful implementation of the Common Core Standards. We enjoy a close relationship with the Great Basin Community Food Cooperative and sell seeds there, and our cafeteria has offered some of our produce in thte school lunch program on site.
