About the Program:

Green City Growers transforms unused space into thriving urban farms, providing our clients with immediate access to nutritious food, while revitalizing city landscapes and inspiring self-sufficiency. We envision a world where rooftops and vacant lots become common and productive places to grow food – an agricultural revolution for a healthier nation. People living in urban areas will have access to a network of sustainable farms, fueling personal and environmental health, and local food sustainability. We are committed to promoting the health of people and the environment through comprehensive garden education programs for every age, giving children and adults the knowledge they need to grow their own food. GCG has developed a comprehensive cross-curricular garden education program for grades K-12, adaptable for in-school, after school programs and summer camp environments. We teach students how to grow food sustainably coupled with food system and nutrition education.
