Arroyo Vista Elementary School

We want to start a garden revolution in our community - by teaching students how to grow and harvest our own food and to enjoy the taste from the garden directly to the plate. Even learn some business tactics along the way, by encouraging our little entrepreneurs to have our very own Farmer's Market at our own school. We will consider our garden an outdoor classroom. The garden will help us provide creative and effective Environmental instruction and it will enrich language arts, math, science and social studies. The garden will also be a natural place for the students to explore , ask questions and make discoveries. It will be an integral part of the Arroyo Vista community and it will offer many opportunities for parents, teachers, children and community members to work alongside students.
