About the Program:

The goal for our school garden is to educate the children about healthy, locally grown food that they have a hand in planting and growing.
Receiving this grant would open up the possibilities for our school district to teach children the importance of healthy eating and the importance of eating whole unprocessed food. We plan to use the garden for cross curriculum learning with lessons being taught in health, science, math, social studies. Along with teamwork from our community members who will be involved with helping the garden grow and flourish. This grant would open up a positive direction for the Dunfee school to make a small yet significant difference in the school lunch concerns we have.
