About the Program:
Three Rivers School has a fenced school garden and greenhouse. The gardening is all done in raised beds due to a big gopher population. The boxes are planted and tended by different classrooms. It changes year to year. Although we would like to impace the school lunch program we have only been able to do that on a limited basis. We continue to struggle with the most productive use of our greenhouse and ways to plant that will make sharing at lunchtime a more viable activity. Produce that becomes available in the summer months is shared with families in the community through out community pantry. Our project seems to always be a work in progress. We are always learning.
