Youth In Transition School Farm

The YIT School farm is the satelite location of the YIT school Horticulture Program.  In 2013 our farm was established on a 2 acres site formerly used as a nursery.  The retail space and office became our classroom and office!

We grow vegetables and flowers in 2 greenhouses and a 3000 sq. ft. garden space.

Our students are special ed high school age youth, who have learning challenges and/or emotional disorders.

The kids love food demo days and are engaged in our garden and greenhouse activities!

As the founder of the farm, I envision and am working towards a urban sustainable farming model.
