Veggiecation Program

Veggiecation® is an evidence-based children's culinary nutrition-education program that promotes and educates communities on the health benefits of vegetables and how to prepare them in simple, unique, affordable, and most importantly, delicious ways.  Veggiecation lessons allow children and parents to develop the culinary skills that will empower them to prepare meals that are health conscious and environmentally sustainable.  This ability will benefit participants throughout their lives and allow them to make food choices that are socially conscious and give them the power to take responsibility of their own health and wellness in a way that is realistic and affordable.

Our online certification program provides passionate individuals with the skills to teach Veggiecation's signature Healthy Kids Cooking Classes.  Participants learn everything from food safety and allergy awareness to the unique style of teaching that makes Veggiecation classes so engaging and successful.  Trained "Veggiecator Educators" also receive guidance and support to grow their own health-promoting business. 

Our Services

Veggiecator Educator Training Workshop (VETW) - Training will consist of a 3 hour online training course where Lisa Suriano MS, the founder of Veggiecation, will guide you through a presentation that covers all the basics of "Veggiecating." Engaging videos will illustrate Veggiecation's specific messaging and methods of teaching. The interactive structure will allow for your questions to be answered throughout the training program. 

With training you will receive:

• The Portable Cooking Kit – including all of the cooking equipment needed to create our classroom-style recipes
• A Veggiecation Apron
• A Full set of 34 Veggiecation Informational Veggie Posters (Choose from English or Spanish)
• A set of 100 "I Tried It!" stickers
• A License to use Veggiecation trademark
• The Veggiecator Recipe E-book

Teacher Trainings (available for individuas sand groups) - Veggiecation provides schools with the means for bringing a sustainable and affordable nutrition education program to their students.

Locate a Veggiecator Educator - Hire a certiffied instructor to come to your school, after-school program, Girl/Boy Scout Troop, etc to conduct one of Veggiecation's signature Healthy Kids Cooking Classes! All recipes are allergen-free and don't require a kitchen!

The Tower to Table Program - A joint project with Stephen Ritz of the Green Bronx Machine that bring a full-year, indoor seed to table curriculum into schools all over the USA and beyond! The Tower Garden technology a dirt-free, aeroponic growing system that an be transported between classes. The Tower to Table Program incorporates plantining, growing, harvesting, cooking, and eating to demonstrate the food cycle to students.
