Lincoln School and Community Garden

The Lincoln School and Community Garden has manifested from our dreams and vision and supported from the Whole Foods Foundation School Garden Grant.
We have taken a green space that was unused between a playground and a tennis court and have created a 10'x50' urban garden for our students, staff, and community.
Students have been involved in the whole process from crop selection, garden design poster projects, digging, planting and education. We are currently in the process of teaching care, respect and how to manage our way carefully through the raised beds. We will be setting up summer care plans asap. I cannot describe the inspiration, joy and cooperative excitement we have experienced here in Erie. Many thanks for amazing programs like Edible Schoolyard and Whole Foods for their support.
