Brooklyn Arts and Science Elementary School

Brooklyn Arts and Science Elementary School (PS 705), a dual language school in the neighborhood of Crown Heights (Brooklyn, New York) is requesting a $2000 grant from the Whole Foods Kids Foundation School Garden Grant Program to develop a school garden where students, teachers, parents and the community at large can engage in the pedagogical and health benefits of school gardening. The administrative, teaching and parent leadership of PS 705, a new school that opened its doors in 2012/13, is progressive and committed to incorporating into its curriculum hands-on and practical experiences for its students that align with its arts and science educational mission.
