About the Program:

Panther Farm is an idea I had in the fall of 2013. I have taught The Ominvore's Dilemma for the past three years and realized that I could do something to help reinforce the ideas Michael Pollan so elequently conveys in that book. I began to poll studens to gauge their interest, and now it looks like we begin to create to what I hope becomes a school-wide food forrest. I plan to help students design and implement the process, but this will be their farm. Hopefully, the food grown can be used on campus, distributed throughout the community, and serve as a learning opportunity for our students.

UPDATE (9/29/2014): We have begun the building phase of our garden. Thanks to David Plascencia and EcoTech Inc for the guidance and materials. We will post their info in our resources section. Aslo, thanks to Dominique Smith, Natasha Dyer, and the US Green Building Council- Los Angeles Chapter for providing us with the grant and contact information that has allowed us to partner with EcoTech.
