Torquay College Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

Our school has joined the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, and we are in the process of setting up our Gardens and Kitchen with resources and support from the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation. Financial support is from the school, and assisted by donations from the community.

Torquay College is a primary (elementary) school, with over 900 students ranging in age from 5 - 12. We will initially be running a program which follows the Stephanie Alexander model closely, just for our Grade 5 & 6 students, but eventually all students across the school will have access to classes that allow them to grow, harvest, prepare and share their own food.
