Valley Montessori School Edible Schoolyard

Valley Montessori School in Livermore California is excited to begin an Edible Schoolyard Project! Our school of 480 students is located on 6 acres of  rolling land. Our dream is finally becoming a reality as we have started building our garden beds, pathways, garden storage area and compost center. Learning and participating in organic farming is an integral, hands feature of the Montessori curriculum, including science, math, art, physical education and an appreciation of community. We expect our project to continue to evolve over the years, hoping to become an educational resource to the community and other school programs.
