Briarlake Elementary

Over the last 5 years, we have created and maintained 360 degrees of garden and outdoor learning spaces at Briarlake Elementary. These are now a defining characteristic of our public elementary school, but requires ongoing investment and maintenance to keep them available for classroom use year round. Given the transition to newly adopted Common Core Standards, teachers would welcome the opportunity to purchase teaching tools that allow them to seamlessly integrate gardening into teaching the new curriculum. Our gardens provide a unique, multisensory approach to teaching many subjects and sparks our children's enthusiasm for learning that we want to nurture. We are requestions funding to purchase planting supplies needed for this year
