About the Program:

This garden grant will give the kids in the "Stars to Starfish" program to experiance the different kinds of agriculture methods of growing produce. The "Stars to Starfish" program is a program that allows kids from all over the county to experiance the Riverview Greenhouse and now a garden consisting of hydroponices systems and raised grow boxes. The kids tour the greenhouse for about an hour and are taught by students from Riverview that are involved in the greenhouse. Once we can complete the out-door garden we will be able to incorporate the garden into the tour of the greenhouse. The garden sit is right on the side of the greenhouse, so the tour can continue right outside the greenhouse. The grant will provide us will the rest of the funds required to complete the garden. In one school year there will be about 10,000 kids from the "Stars to Starfish" program and Riverview High that will experiance the greenhouse and the newly constructed out-door garden.
