Arapaho Classical Magnet Elementary

Our mission is to create and support a 'fully sustainable and functional organic garden, utilized by all grades to enhance core curriculum standards and teach nutritional life skills.'

Arapaho Classical Magnet is a school which integrates the local student population with applicants district wide. ACM Acres will provide opportunities for not only students, but also for families and community members to work together towards common goals, better health, and the enrichment of the ACM educational environment. As the program is still in the creation phase, a Garden Grant would enable us to move forward this spring allowing every grade level in our school to plant a raised bed. Arapaho Classical Magnet has made a deep commitment to its students and families by becoming a healthy zone school and banning the consumption of high sugared and over processed foods and drinks. Our next step is to fill the void left by those foods with healthy farm to table options.
