School Cafeterias

Noble Garden Club

Our school is demographically and socio-economically challenged.  Students do not understand the idea of healthy organic options for their diet.  If we can create a program to educate our students, they will be healthier and smarter students who are motivated to come to school and learn something different other than the normal curriculum, while they can take this with them to their homes and beyond.

Cooking with Kids, Inc.

Cooking with Kids motivates and empowers elementary school students to make healthy food choices. Through hands-on nutrition education activities, kindergarten through 6th grade students explore, prepare, and enjoy fresh, affordable foods from around the world. A 5th grader says it best: “Do you know what the passion of food is? It’s the way the food smells and tastes – it’s the food that I like!”

Litchfield Hills Food Systems KiDSMARATHON

What is KiDSMARATHON? Rod Dixon's KiDSMARATHON™ is an 8 – 10 week training program that enables kids to complete a full marathon by running incremental distances each week leading up to the finish in front of hundreds of fans! During the project, elementary students, ages 7-12, develop life-long fitness skills, positive nutritional habits*, social-emotional learning, a feeling of accomplishment, and self-confidence for themselves. The mantra of the program is “Finishing is Winning! Winning is Finishing!”.

The Oxbow School

The Oxbow School is a rigorous, interdisciplinary semester program for high school students, located in Napa, California. Our mission is to strengthen students’ abilities in creative and critical inquiry by combining rigorous studio art practice with innovative academics. The main focus of the program is studio arts, but an appreciation for nature and respect for the environment are inherent in the values of the school—every student at Oxbow works in the garden, through the science curriculum and the physical education program.

Palos Verdes School Gardens

Palos Verdes School Gardens is a non-profit organization that seeks to make our schools models of sustainability on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

We want our kids to learn about conservation, smart energy use, how to grow food organically and responsibly and to care for their environment on the school campus. We want our kids to grow up knowing that their actions and decisions have an impact on the world around them.

Orcas Island Farm to Cafeteria Program

Orcas Island is located off the coast of Washington State in the San Juan Islands.  We have had an active and vibrant farm to cafeteria program since 2005 which includes our newly expanded garden, our K-8 Farm to Classroom, and fresh scratch-cooked meals in the school cafeteria using locally grown organic produce and meats.
