Student activities include planting the heirloom seeds and making their own ice cream! Lunch tickets can be purchased for $5 (a la carte items available). The event will be held at Atwood Community Gardens located at 779, Atwood Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 (West End Atlanta, GA.)

NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program

NEXT Steps introduces youth to career pathways in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) by teaching them how to apply the transferable farm and market management skills used at Atwood Community Gardens & Urban Farm -- a 3.5 acre training center and outdoor event facility – which include strategic planning and business development strategies, special event management, investigative research and discovery activities, community service and environmental stewardship.

Three Squares

We work throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to provide nutrition education and improved access to healthy food in low-income communities.

We run Cooking Matters, a national program created by Share Our Strength, which is a free, hands-on cooking and nutrition series for low-income families. We collaborate with community partners such as schools, health clinics, food pantries, and community centers to make our food system more equitable, three square meals at a time.

The Organic Gardener

The Organic Gardener Ltd. (TOG) creates beautiful and productive organic edible gardens. We provide our clients with a full line of services, including design, installation, maintenance, and education.

Edible Estates

EDIBLE ESTATES is an ongoing initiative to create a series of regional prototype gardens that replace domestic front lawns, and other unused spaces in front of homes, with places for families to grow their own food. The twelve gardens planted thus far have been established in cities across the United States and Europe. Adventurous residents in each town have offered their front yards as working prototypes for their region.

Eden In Oakland

Eden in Oakland is phasing out of its conceptual stage, and now seeks to grow small scale farms in urban settings.  The  farms are intended as a mash-up between a community centric growing project and a soft scaled commercial initiative.

Incheon English Village

Incheon English Village is the first English village in Incheon and is the leading professional English institution in South Korea. ICEV’s main focus is on pragmatic learning through various experiences in real-life situations, rather than memorization-based learning, allowing the students to be able to enhance the ability to fluently express one’s own community and culture on a global scale. ICEV's curriculum is based on eco-friendly hands-on activities in order to help students build a sense of appreciation for nature.

Mile High Farm

Mile High Farm serves as an experiential educational classroom specializing in permaculture principles and ethics. Applying natural systems and organic gardening methods, we collect and hold over 10,000 gallons of rainwater during our (2) known rain seasons annually. We've planted native perennials, fruit and nut trees, and incorporate chickens into our successful system. As a satellite campus, we work closely with local universities, preschools, and professional adults offering tours, classes, and hands-on lessons.

Towson University Child Care Center

We are a small university Lab school, with students aged 2 years to 5 years. We are promoting the use of a vegetable garden and environmental emergent curriculum. Seed to table explorations.
