Hometown Hero Project: Building a Brighter Future

By Maegan Cox

We are filled with gratitude for the amazing support we received from our local Lowe’s, on Hammer Lane in Stockton. Their Hometown Hero Project helped transform our Community Farm this past November!

Thanks to Lowe’s our farm has seen some incredible improvements. Their team came out and helped us replace the wood on ten community garden plots, giving a fresh and sturdy foundation for our plot holders to grow their produce. They also provided new tools, including rakes and shovels for our classroom, as well as gloves, buckets, new paint for our crop signs.

The team helped us paint our tables bright blue, giving them a fresh, vibrant look that makes the space more inviting for students and community members alike. In addition, they donated a variety of flower bulbs, which will add bursts of color and joy throughout the farm this spring. Their contributions not only enhance the aesthetic of the space but also create a place for gathering and community building.

They have been a vital part of our farm's journey, helping pave the way for a new phase of growth and expansion. We are so grateful to Anthony and his team for taking the time to help us.
