Groundswell Film Screening & Panel Discussion
Tuesday, November 3, 2026
Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School
1781 Rose Street Berkeley, CA 94703
5:30-6:45pm - Dinner in the Dining Commons
7-8:30pm - Film Screening in the Auditorium
8:30-9pm - Conversation with Panelists
We'll host a pre-screening dinner with a seasonal, organic recipe inspired by Alice's cookbook, A School Lunch Revolution, and will share how The Edible Schoolyard Project partners with Berkeley Unified School District’s Cooking and Gardening Program to bring Edible Education to middle and high school students, while creating meaningful career connections in food systems. Together, we’re cultivating a shared vision for the future of Edible Education and thriving communities.
Following the film, guests will hear from Alice Waters and friends of The Edible Schoolyard Project: Film Producer & Director Rebecca Harrell Tickell, Ross Cannard and Rebecca Bozzelli from Seven Moons Farm, and Janet Nagamine of Hikari Farms, and Dan Imhoff, researcher, author and co-founder of Watershed Media.
