About the Program:

Our mission is to design sustainable oriented programs based on school needs that develop student's entrepreneurship skills and promote higher education.

Racine Carrée uses project based learning as a tool for learning. At present, Racine Carrée focuses on schools with a need for urban agriculture projects. It develops a program based on the specific needs of the school. The goal of each program is then for the students to develop a solution for this need. The students are accompanied through the process with workshops and a one day design challenge event where experts on the topic come to the school to help the children concretise their ideas.

Concretely, the project has been successful in the development of an urban agriculture project with primary students. The need expressed by the primary school in Lachine for an indoor gardening system was answered by the student's innovative ideas. With help of experts the student's were able to develop an indoor gardening system for their classroom.
