SPRING BENEFIT: A Garden Grows in Harlem

Edible Schoolyard New York's Spring Benefit, “A Garden Grows in Harlem,” will raise funds to build the Manhattan Showcase School, opening this year at P.S. 7 in East Harlem. The evening will include dinner for approximately 350 guests, prepared by 18 of New York’s finest chefs, brought together by award-winning chef David Chang.

The funds ESYNYC raises at the Spring Benefit will provide the P.S. 7 students and community with direct access to an edible education in their own:

  • 5,000 square-foot rooftop teaching garden
  • Second-floor kitchen classroom that opens onto the garden
  • Edible Schoolyard NYC’s signature planters in 2,000 square feet of growing space in the school’s courtyard
