Summer Training participants will:

  • Connect with a dynamic community of like-minded and passionate educators
  • Learn best practices from Edible Schoolyard programs
  • Share knowledge and resources with peers

Important Application Dates

  • Update: the application deadline is Friday, April 5, at 11:59 pm PT.
  • Applicants will receive an email by April 18 letting them know either that they are invited to the training or have been placed on the waitlist.

Who The Summer Training Is For

This training is geared towards individuals and organizations in the initial stages of providing educational gardening and/or cooking programs, particularly those actively serving students in public school settings. Our goal is to equip participants with the tools necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of their program.

Additionally, the Edible Schoolyard Project is committed to building diversity and inclusion in the field of edible education. We believe that our movement is made stronger, more effective, and most relevant for our students and communities by the leadership of practitioners with a wide array of perspectives and experiences. We therefore encourage applicants from a diversity of backgrounds. Individuals and teams who will contribute to the diversity of our training program will be given preference during the review process.

Training Cost

Tuition for the 2024 Summer Training is $250 per person. Full and partial scholarships are available.
