I have worked with educational food programs for 14 years in a variety of capacities; as an AmeriCorps member, garden and chef teacher, parent, program coordinator and director.
From 2006 to 2009, I served as Program Coordinator at the Edible Schoolyard where my responsibilities included staff management, fund-raising and event planning, curriculum development and integration, design and production of collateral materials, marketing and media management, web site content management, budget planning and reporting, and community outreach.
In summer 2009, I moved with my husband and five year old daughter to Chiang Mai, Thailand where I was the Director of the Prem Cooking and Farming Academy, a program imbedded into a K-12 International School, and modeled on the Edible Schoolyard.
I am currently the Director of The Edible Schoolyard in Berkeley. I lead a staff of 10, and in the past year have initiated the development and publication of new garden and kitchen lessons, hands on kitchen lessons for King School parents, and growing the Edible Schoolyard Academy from 2 to 3 days.
