I am a former ESL and secondary science teacher with a strong background in environmental and social justice issues. Prior to working as the Farm to School Coordinator, I was the Curriculum Specialist at Creative Change Educational Solutions, an education non-profit located in Ypsilanti, MI. I was also an adjunct instructor at Alpena Community College and served as the educational coordinator for the NOAA Paleoclimatology Program in Boulder, CO. I have a Master’s degree in Secondary Science with an emphasis in ESL from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a BS in Agriscience from Michigan State University. I also have a teaching certificate in secondary science. I am very passionate about sustaining the health and well-being of the Dexter Community through sourcing and serving fresh, local food and educating students about sustainable food systems.
