As the Edible Schoolyard Garden Americorps Member, I love discovering new things about the garden alongside our students. I have been excited about food and farming since I first dug up a potato at Hidden Villa Summer Camp at age 10, and now I get to help provide other youth with that experience! I focused on Urban and Ethnic Studies at Wesleyan University, and my passion for environmental justice has led me to work with an environmental law organization in Ecuador and to help organize eco-friendly hiphop concerts in San Francisco. In my free time I like to cook with friends, explore cities, and play guitar. After spending the last five years mostly outside of California, I'm incredibly excited to back in the Bay Area, with its sunshine, year-round farmers markets, diversity and good hikes.
